How to apply Mylash
To apply either Mylash Growth Treatment or Mylash Conditioner follow these 3 simple steps:
Step 1. Clean the area and remove any makeup
Step 2. Apply 1 drop of the Treatment or Conditioner to the tip of the applicator.
Step 3. Apply to the base of your lashes.
You should start to see noticeable improvements in the length and thickness of your eyelashes after about 4 weeks, with the full effects seen after 12-16 weeks of daily use.
Mylash Growth Treatment is the only medically-approved growth treatment in the UK, and delivers clinically-proven results. No other serum on the market has been medically-approved. This means that they may not be safe and they have no proven results.
No, not all lash serums contain prostaglandins or prostaglandin analogs like bimatoprost (the magic ingredient that allows our serum to stimulate growth). Many over-the-counter lash serums instead include ingredients like peptides, vitamins, and botanical extracts to condition and strengthen lashes, rather than to stimulate growth directly. Only a few lash growth treatments, prescribed by healthcare providers or approved by the FDA, contain prostaglandin analogs like bimatoprost. At Mylash we distinguish between our growth treatment (clinically tested to work) and our conditioner (that improves hair quality to contribute to healthy growth, but that isn’t proven to cause growth directly).
The active ingredient in Mylash Growth Treatment is bimatoprost. This is the known as the brand Latisse in America. This is held in an aqueous (water-based) solution and we have designed special applicators to ensure that it can be applied only on the eyelash base, avoiding wastage and irritation. bimatoprost is a synthetic (man-made) drug that mimics naturally-occurring prostaglandins, which are natural chemicals found in various parts of the body, including the eyes, for controlling cell growth. When applied to the base of the eyelashes, bimatoprost stimulates the growth of longer, thicker, and darker lashes. Mylash growth treatment is a service that requires a doctor to oversee it. We ask our patients to fill in a short form so we can ensure that it will be safe for you to use.
Mylash Conditioner is a specialised product designed to condition and enhance the appearance of your eyelashes, giving them a fuller, healthier look. It’s a great companion product to the Mylash Growth Treatment because well conditioned hairs are more durable, don’t break as easily, and are therefore often longer than without treatment.
Mylash or Latisse works by extending the growth phase (anagen phase) of the hair cycle, resulting in longer and thicker eyelashes. It also stimulates the production of more hairs. This can be useful for helping people gain a fuller coverage of eyelashes across their entire eyelid.
Just like the hair on your head, your eyelashes need regular conditioning, or they’ll dry out and start to break. If your eyelashes break off, they’ll become shorter and more difficult to see. Our conditioner moisturises and conditions your eyelashes, preventing them from a degree of this breakage. We have also packed it with active ingredients to reduce local inflammation and encourage greater localised blood flow which help promote growth.
The mask contours create space between your eye area and any surfaces, preventing them from rubbing against one another and therefore reducing friction. The eyemask is made of silk, which is a very low-friction material, so even if your eyelashes do come into contact with it, friction is still very low.
Yes. Many of our patients use Mylash for eyebrow growth and report excellent results. While the evidence is not as comprehensive compared to its use for eyelash growth, there is a growing body of literature from around the world supporting the safe use of Latisse for eyebrow growth.
Yes. But only if you continue applying it as part of your beauty routine. Bimatoprost provides a temporary increase in the length, thickness, and darkness of eyelashes. These changes will gradually disappear if you stop using the product over 16 weeks which is the length of time for your hair to complete its regular growth cycle. Some believe that the enhanced follicle size never returns to normal and that there is a permanent increase, but there is no independent clinical evidence to confirm this.
Mylash Growth Treatment works by extending the growth phase (anagen phase) of the hair cycle, resulting in longer and thicker eyelashes. It also stimulates the production of more eyelash hairs by converting vellus hairs, the tiny clear “peach fuzz”, into terminal hairs that are more visible. This can be useful for helping people gain a fuller coverage of eyelashes across their entire eyelid.

Our conditioner moisturises and conditions your eyelashes, preventing them from a degree of this breakage. It also contains active ingredients that limit inflammation, encourage blood flow and provide antioxidants to the area. All of this combined ensures that your eyelashes look their very best.
The mask creates a space between your eye area and pillow, preventing them from rubbing against one another and therefore reducing friction. This is held in an aqueous (water-based) solution and we have designed special applicators to ensure that it can be applied only on the eyelash base, avoiding wastage and irritation. In America it is known under the brand name Latisse and the Latisse UK name is Mylash. Bimatoprost, which is part of a class of biological molecules called a prostaglandin. These are a bit like hormones – a signal that your body uses to increase the growth of your eyelashes. This is the only molecule that has been proven to grow your eyelashes during FDA trials to approve Latisse, the brand name for bimatoprost in America.
Mylash Conditoner is a specialised product designed to condition and enhance the appearance of your eyelashes, giving them a fuller, healthier look. It’s a great companion product to the Mylash Growth Treatment because well conditioned hairs are more durable, don’t break as easily and are therefore often longer than without treatment. Together they have a synergistic effect to help maximise potential eyelash growth.
Prostaglandins are a group of lipids, or fats, that perform several roles in the body. They’re derived from fatty acids and play a crucial role in various biological functions like inflammation, blood flow, and the regulation of hormones. These compounds are produced throughout the body and can exert potent effects on the tissues where they are made. This is why it is wrong for for other suppliers of eyelash enhancing products to put untested prostaglandins in their eyelash serums; they shouldn’t be risking this powerful chemistry on people when they have no knowledge of the risks. We recommend that customers stop using untested serums in favour of products that have been subject to proper testing and are supervised by someone medically trained.
In the context of lash serums, prostaglandins, or prostaglandin analogs like bimatoprost, are used to stimulate the growth of eyelashes. They’re believed to work by extending the growth (anagen) phase of the hair cycle, leading to longer, fuller, and darker lashes. Bimatoprost, a prostaglandin analog, is an active ingredient in some FDA-approved lash growth treatments, like Mylash Growth Treatment.
If you miss a day, just apply it the next evening. Do not double the dose to catch up, it won’t make any difference.
No, applying Mylash more than once a day will not speed up eyelash growth and may increase the risk of side effects. It’s important follow the provided instructions when using Mylash. A good time to add it to your beauty routine is just before you brush your teeth at night. This will allow it to completely absorb into the hair follicle before you come to lie down on your pillow.
Yes. We recommend both as part of your beauty routine. Mylash Growth Treatment makes your eyelashes grow thicker, longer and darker – it is best applied at night just before you clean your teeth after you have taken all your make up off. Mylash Conditioner protects and enhances the hairs – it is best applied before you clean your teeth in the morning and before you put on any mascara or other eye makeup. Daily application as part of a consistent skincare routine is a great way to get the best possible results.
Yes, you can use mascara or other eyelash products. However, Mylash should always be applied first, and you should wait until it is completely dry before applying any other products. It’s best to apply it after you have removed your make up and just before you clean your teeth as part of your daily beauty routine.
It is entirely safe to have a lash lift or extensions while using the treatment. The liquid is water based so is quickly absorbed into the skin to reach the hair follicles, so there is no lasting residue which could interfere with any perm solution or adhesive. We have a lot of eyelash technicians that use it as part of their arsenal as part of a more holistic approach. If you are having semi-permanent makeup applied to the lash line or eyebrows then we would recommend waiting at least 4 weeks before applying. If the area is still tender or healing is prolonged then we would wait longer, but please get in touch for more specific advice.
Yes, bimatoprost, the active ingredient of Mylash Growth Treatment, is approved by the international government health agencies like the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use on eyelashes. However, like all medications, it can have side effects. (In rare cases some people’s eyes can be irritated. This is normally addressed by more careful use of our applicators but may mean you have to discontinue treatment. This is a rare event).
It is very rare to experience side effects using the Growth Treatment, and if they do occur it is often due to incorrect application. In clinical trials, less than 2% of users experienced irritation or redness. Our customers experience side effects more rarely still, because our application technology is more precise than what was used in the clinical trial.
The short answer is very likely no. In fact, of over 10,000 Mylash customers, none have ever reported this side effect.
It is often reported that bimatoprost, the active ingredient of Mylash Growth Treatment and Latisse, can change your iris colour (typically making it darker). It is very rare for people to have this side effect when using this drug for eyelash enhancement and is normally because it has been put in the eye itself rather than along the base of the eyelashes. This is one of the reasons we’ve carefully sourced specially designed hydrophobic (water-repelling) micro-applicators that make it easy to put the perfect amount onto the exact part of the eyelid required to stimulate your lash growth. In America where this treatment is more common the incidence of iris colour change from Latisse is close to zero. Information is available on this website about how to do this properly.
Nearly everyone can use the MyLash Growth Treatment, but some people who have certain eye conditions, like uveitis or macular edema, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or who are allergic to bimatoprost or any of its ingredients should not use it. It’s always important to tell us your medical history so we can make sure that it will be safe for you to use.
No. Mylash Growth Treatment should not be used during pregnancy. It is always best to err on the side of caution, especially since it is a cosmetic treatment. It’s not known if the active ingredient, bimatoprost, is excreted in human milk. Therefore, it’s important to tell us if you’re pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. We recommend our Mylash Conditioner for pregnant or nursing women. While the effect is reduced, it’s still great for your eyelashes and will contribute to healthy growth.
Before using Mylash Growth Treatment, you will be asked if you have had eye surgery, including cataract surgery or laser treatment. We can assess the potential risks and guide you accordingly.
Yes, but you should remove your contact lenses before application. Wait at least 15 minutes after applying Mylash before reinserting your lenses, as the solution may absorb into soft contact lenses.
Don’t worry. Mylash’s active ingredient, bimatoprost, was originally used as a prescription eye drop for glaucoma, which has been tested extensively for safety when applied directly into the eye. This means the treatment is eye-safe and you do not need to wash it out. However, if your eye becomes red, irritated, or uncomfortable, contact your healthcare provider.
Bimatoprost should not be used by individuals under the age of 16 as its safety and efficacy have not been established in this age group.
If you accidentally swallow Mylash Growth Treatment or Mylash Conditioner, immediately contact a healthcare professional. Both are water based, non-toxic and not poisonous.
You should start to see noticeable improvements in the length and thickness of your eyelashes after about 4 weeks, with the full effects seen after 12-16 weeks of daily use. This is the length of time needed for your eyelash or eyebrow hair to complete their growth cycle.
You can buy Mylash Growth Treatment for eyelash growth right here on our website.
Yes. Many of our patients use Mylash for eyebrow growth and report excellent results. However, you should note it is not approved by the FDA for this purpose. Its safety and effectiveness on eyebrows have not been scientifically proven.
Yes! We offer bimatoprost 0.03% which is known in America as the brand name Latisse. We call it our Mylash growth serum. If you were to use both side by side you could not tell the difference – the results would be the same as it is the same active ingredient.
Yes, if you stop using Mylash, your eyelashes will gradually return to their original appearance over 16 weeks. This is the length of time of one eyelash hair growth cycle and without Mylash this will not be enhanced.
It should be stored at room temperature and out of reach of children and pets.

They were applying it onto the eyeball in much greater doses (20 to 40x), often for 20+ years and the experience showed it was safe. The longest Mylash users have been using it continuously since 2007 without any problems and very long lashes.
