ALTERNATIVE LASH SOLUTIONS
If you’re struggling with thinning or short lashes, it’s always worth inquiring into the cause. Age, the menopause, and make up use are all common factors which affect most of us at some time or other. Other factors may include hyperthyroidism, the use of weight loss treatments, hair-related conditions such as trichotillomania and trichoteiromania, and of course medically induced loss as a result of chemotherapy.
Our doctors are happy to consult about any of these potential causes. If a medical cause is likely, they will recommend you speak to your GP and address that cause before considering a cosmetic option.
If a lash growth treatment containing an active ingredient, such as bimatoprost, is unsuitable there are other options available. Looking after your lash condition with a high quality serum is always a great first step. Short term cosmetic options like extensions, lifts and tints are widely available but can damage lash condition further without appropriate aftercare.
