I am a doctor, and I live in Scotland with my wife, kids, five dogs and thirteen chickens. I am also an expert on eye beauty and health, and founder of Mylash.
I first became interested in the eye, and in safe and proven beauty enhancement practices, during a plastic surgery rotation. The surgeons I trained with were frustrated at the rise in untrained practitioners injecting dangerous and powerful medicines, like Botox, in unsafe ways. I responded by setting up a company to solve this problem, and to match brilliant, reputable surgeons to patients seeking treatment, so that they could be administered in safety.
I then wondered whether there was anything that could be administered in a similar, low-touch, but safe and reputable way, for the eye. I found a treatment that became the basis of Mylash. It had been tested to the highest standards and proven to work. I was able to deliver a new product that was safe, ethical and effective at enhancing the beauty of the eye.
To this day, my focus remains on making sure that the treatments are administered safely, and that the low risks are understood by those who use them.
Over the last 17 years, Mylash has helped countless people to feel more confident about their eyelashes. The biggest impact has been on patients of chemotherapy, who have been able to regrow their eyelashes and eyebrows and to regain their confidence and sense of self. The loyalty of these customers continues to inspire our innovation and process. They influence every aspect of what we do.
